Project Wish List
Members are encouraged to develop projects or to work with other members to further the goals of the Artists and Writers of East Hampton and of the whole community on the East End. Examples include the major conference that the AWEH sponsored with Guild Hall and WLIU radio to examine the economic crisis and its effect on the art community. But projects could equally well involve short-term and longer-term efforts to bring, for example, the housing shortage for artists to the attention of authorities. Other projects could be to find opportunities for the whole art community to show their work either in public projects, art rental libraries or other venues. There is an entire gamut of projects large and small which our members could undertake which offer significant contributions to the community. If you have an idea but think it's too big for you or it's too unrefined but would like to have the group consider it, put it here on the Wish List. The group may get to it tomorrow; the group may take a year to take up this project; or it may remain on the wish list forever. But someday somebody will think it is terrific and needed and make it happen. So mail your ideas to
