A highly regarded landscape painter, Ralph Carpentier has lived and worked on the East End since 1955. He is a founder of the new organization of Artists and Writers of East Hampton (AWEH), as well as having been one of the original founders of The Jimmy Ernst Artist Alliance. Ralph participated in community groups and local government and was the designer and director of the East Hampton Town Marine Museum. He has worked as a commercial fisherman, a carpenter, and is a well-respected teacher of Art.
A painter, playwright and director, Rich MacDonald was one of the founders of Artists and Writers of Easthampton (AWEH). Past President of AWEH, Rich has shown across the East End. The Drama Center, New York, will produce his play new play Capacity for Love in fall 2009. Rich, a graduate of Yale, McGill and the Ontario College of Art and Design is a true believer in the partnership between empathy and rationality.
Catherine (Katy) Gurley is a writer and editor with more than 15 years experience in editorial service and consulting in newspapers and magazines. She continues to work for newspapers and small businesses writing and editing features, backgrounders, brochures, press releases, letters, and more. She has specialty experience in the areas of business, law and lifestyles.
